It's that time of year here in Bellingham. We must strike when the iron is hot. Or at least while the iron is warm. More like, if the iron happens to be 70 degrees and sunny with just a puffy cloud or two lazily drifting around then it's time to try on some super cute shoes. Since we're approaching the end of May, it would seem that the iron is ready to be picked up.
Basically, summer shoes are in stock.
Rieker has given us some adorable, lightweight heeled leather shoes. This small German company uses a neutral color palette with washed out blues and brightly popping reds. Some of their offerings have light, airy laser cut uppers and others have pleating and an extra scalloped trim piece around the top of the foot.
This season's offerings from El Naturalista are perfect for skinny jeans or knee length shorts down in Boulevard Park. Extra soft leathers, peep toes, ankle buckles, tonal colors and slingback combinations all fit the bill for adorable days spent around town, on campus or out for a warm, outdoor summer evening dinner.
Sure, open shoes get all the glory during the warmer months but what if you're looking for something with a bit more support? Lace-ups should never be forgotten, especially if they come in awesome colors. Imac, a small Italian company new to the USA, and Ecco give you an awesome barefooted alternative to lightweight leather things. Both the Ecco and the Imac give the wearer the undeniable comfort of a removable leather footbed with a mesh lining for excellent breathability.
Pop in or give us a call if you have any questions about any of these excellent summer options!
